No Seats in this Class; Nighttime Design will have you Standing
Venture Lighting Institute takes new Approach to ClassSTREETSBORO, OH (December 1, 2008) – Sitting in class all day long seem boring to you? You won’t have a seat at the VLI during this first class of 2009 because the agenda takes you on site tours, requires site surveys and has you designing parking lots!
This two-day class will be held January 15 and 16 covering key topics such as night vision, color, trends in lighting for nighttime environments, energy codes and design applications. The first day of the class is held during the evening for a site tour and survey which is used the second day for a lighting design exercise. There will be no falling asleep in this class.
Several lighting training centers offer classes on exterior lighting. However, the VLI is using the latest approach in high-impact training concepts by having attendees visit lighting sites, gather data, create lighting designs that allows them to apply the knowledge gained during the class.
“This class is very important to Venture Lighting since metal halide is currently constitutes 70 percent of our outdoor lighting business,” said Amanda Foust, Director of the VLI. “We structure our classes to allow students to learn and then apply the concepts in the class, providing them an example which they can utilize in their practice,” said Foust.
Class times and registration are available online at www.TheVLI.com. The Nighttime Design and Philosophies class is only offered twice throughout the year. Seats are limited and interested lighting professionals should register online.
The two-day class also offers a special event to attend. All LeBron James (NBA Cleveland Cavaliers) fans, won’t want to miss this class. The first ten registrants will receive free club tickets to Friday night’s game on January 16th against the New Orleans Hornets.
