
| Amanda Foust, Director
IESNA Member, ASHRAE Member As Director, Foust manages all activities relative to the VLI, which offers a technology-rich educational experience centered on energy-efficient, environmentally friendly metal halide lighting. The VLI offers a variety of quality, informative educational programs which provide a solid foundation for continual professional lighting technology development. Foust earned dual Bachelor degrees from Kent State University. Her degrees are Business Administration in Computer Information Systems and Bachelor of Science in Public Relations. She is an active member of IESNA, Cleveland Chapter, ASHRAE and travels around the U.S. visiting local chapters providing education on her lighting expertise in horizontal applications and legislative lighting law. She is also a member of Delta Gamma Fraternity alumni, Young Professionals of Akron, Kent State Alumni Association and Torchbearers of Summit County. |

| Tom Harding, Vice President of Engineering
Tom is the engine behind our engineering teams at Venture Lighting. He offers over 30 years of lighting experience ranging from lamp design development to projection lamps and optics. He served with General Electric (GE) for many years before coming to Venture Lighting. Now, as the VP of Engineering, Tom leads the vision for new product development and focuses heavily on legislative trends acting as an industry advisor to such organizations as NEMA and the California Energy Commission (CEC). Tom has multiple physics degrees. He obtained his Master of Science in Physics from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH and his undergrad work was a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Eastern Nazarene College, Quincy, MA. |

| Josh Barry, Lamp Design Manager
Josh is our lead lamp trainer for the VLI. He offers more than 10 years engineering experience and has developed some of Venture Lighting's best product lines. He started with Venture in 1997 as a Design Physicist and has worked with wattages of quartz metal halide from 50W through 2000W. He currently manages the Venture Lamp Engineering group (Solon & India), handling the photometry group, technical documentation group and all of the production lamp designs. Josh graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University with Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics. |

| Geoffery Pfeiffer, Compliance Engineer
Geoff has over 15 years combined training and electrical engineering experience. Known as one of our most entertaining trainers, Geoff leads the ballast fundamentals portion of our Metal Halide class. At Venture, Geoff handles all UL and compliance projects. He is an expert on magnetic ballast systems and components. Prior to Geoff’s tenure with Venture Lighting, he was a professional animal trainer with Sea World in Aurora, Ohio. Geoff obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. |

Amy offers many years of industrial sales and engineering experience to the training staff. She has several years of lighting experience, worked on process improvement projects and led a nonprofit organization for technology-intensive start-up companies. Amy is the go-to expert for metal halide solutions for EISA, energy-efficiency compliance, environmental and other energy-related initiatives. Amy has a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University. |

Rick Quinlan, the Company Associate, has over 30 years experience in a wide variety of projects in the Electrical Engineering field. He has vast experience in many types of projects including medical, retail, educational, libraries, commercial and recreational. Rick is particularly experienced in lighting design.

With over 30 years of experience, Mark Lien's experience includes many different facets of the lighting industry. He managed a lighting center, providing design and sales services to industry professionals and end users. He has designed lighting systems for a wide range of applications, including residential, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and both conventional and nuclear power plants. He has spent most of the last decade in lighting education, presenting and teaching throughout North America, Asia, and the Middle East.
